As in 2022, the Abraham Kriel Children’s Home experienced another delightful gesture from the Amy Bell Foundation ̶ a fantastic seaside holiday in Summerstrand, Gqeberha.

Fifty-five of our children, unable to return home for the holidays, enjoyed a seaside getaway together. PHASA generously sponsored the fuel, and compassionate individuals provided snacks and treat packs for the journey. December saw the arrival of many new children to the home, and the prospect of a holiday allowed them to shift their focus from the loss of family to having fun under the summer sun.

During their time, our children had the chance to watch a film at Nu-Metro theatres and visit the water park and Gravity trampoline centre. In between activities, the Amy’s Angels team engaged the children with games. An outreach visit to the Cheshire Home for the Disabled helped our children appreciate their own privileges.
