Sy is in haar matriekjaar en sien baie uit na haar matriekafskeid. Micayla is een van die jongmense by Abraham Kriel Kinderhuis wat hierdie jaar hul skoolloopbaan sal voltooi.<\/p>\n<p>Nelly, Paballo, Micayla en Gift is opgewonde om die volwasse lewe aan te pak. Twintigjarige Nelly besluit nog wat sy in die toekoms wil doen, terwyl agtienjarige Gift met diere wil werk. Micayla gaan gasvryheid studeer, en Paballo is nog nie seker wat presies sy wil doen nie. Elke kind het spesiale dinge waarin hulle belang stel. Die ruimte met sy sterre en planete fassineer Micayla en Paballo het \u0149 passie vir musiek en dans. Alhoewel hierdie vier matrikulante uiteenlopende belangstellings het, het hulle een ding in gemeen: almal is opgewonde om hul matriekafskeid te vier!<\/p>\n<p>Gift en Micayla sal matriek by Ho\u00ebrskool Nylstroom voltooi, en Paballo en Nelly by die Solomon Mahlangu Secondary School. Vir elkeen sal hierdie aand \u0149 simbool wees van die moeilike pad wat hulle tot dusver gestap het. Kinderhuiskinders kom dikwels uit omgewings waar hulle nie liefde en ondersteuning ontvang het nie. Fisieke en emosionele letsels maak dikwels die pad vorentoe baie moeilik. Dat hulle matriek ten spyte hiervan gaan voltooi, is reeds \u0149 groot prestasie en bewys dat hulle, ondanks moeilike omstandighede, sukses kan behaal.<\/p>\n<p>Om Nelly, Micayla, Gift en Paballo se groot aand spesiaal te maak, het Abraham Kriel Kinderhuis die ondersteuning van sy vriende nodig. Die jongmense se klere, skoene, naels, juwele en grimmering beloop sowat R24 000, of R6 000 per persoon.
