Abraham Kriel Children’s Home hosts bazaar on Youth Day!

The dedicated staff at the Abraham Kriel Children’s Home, in collaboration with various churches, organised a bazaar on Youth Day, 16 June, this year. The event, hosted on our premises, was a tremendous success, drawing a diverse array of attendees from various backgrounds and walks of life. It was a joyous occasion filled with fun, activities and a vibrant atmosphere that brought together young and old alike. The aim was to raise funds and awareness for the home’s mission of providing a safe and nurturing environment for vulnerable children.

A standout feature of the bazaar was the assortment of stalls, offering a wide selection of products and services to cater to diverse tastes. Attendees had the opportunity to browse and purchase unique handmade crafts, clothing, artwork and various other items, all of which were provided by local artists, crafters and vendors. The stalls were bustling with activity as visitors enjoyed discovering hidden treasures and supporting local businesses.

Food lovers were thrilled by the delicious and tempting array of culinary treats offered at the bazaar. The aroma of freshly prepared meals, snacks and desserts filled the air. In addition to the delectable food and enticing stalls, the bazaar provided a multitude of activities and entertainment options for visitors of all ages. Children were entertained by games and exciting rides that elicited laughter and smiles. For the young at heart, there were live performances from local talents, including the renowned artist, Nicholas Louw. His lively music and energetic stage presence had the crowd dancing and singing along throughout his performance.

The Abraham Kriel Children’s Home bazaar was the product of the hard work and dedication of our staff, churches and volunteers, and an exceptional event that showcased a strong community spirit. Not only were funds raised for a worthy cause but a platform was also provided for people to come together, interact and spread goodwill in the community.

The success of the bazaar serves as a reminder of the power of collaboration and the impact that a caring community can have on the lives of vulnerable children. The Abraham Kriel Children’s Home is incredibly grateful to everyone who made the event a success  ̶  our staff, churches, vendors, artists and, most importantly, the attendees.
