Diamond Hearts NPO inspires young women from Abraham Kriel Children’s Home
On 20 September, Anna du Plooy and Kyra-Jade from Diamond Hearts NPO hosted a development workshop for a group of young women from Abraham Kriel Children’s Home Nylstroom. The aim was to promote the girls’ practical skills and personal development.
The programme covered, among other things, basic skin and nail care, personal hygiene, a positive posture and practical table-setting skills. The girls also took part in a symbolic activity in which they crowned one another with a tiara as an exercise in mutual affirmation.
Each participant received a gift bag with self-care products and a certificate of participation.
“We are incredibly proud of the growth and self-confidence that each girl gained from this experience, and we look forward to seeing how they carry this new sense of dignity with them into the world,” says Marlene de Villiers, Marketing Officer at the children’s home.
“Our sincere thanks to Anna and Kyra-Jade from Diamond Hearts NPO for this beautiful initiative and for the love and care with which you have touched our girls’ hearts.”
