Ninina: Hokkey player’s dreams take flight!

“I think the fact that I play hockey teaches me self-discipline and gives me the motivation to want to go further,” says Ninina Booysens. A learner at Laerskool Nylstroom, Ninina started playing hockey at the age of eight. Today, 14-year-old Ninina is a talented player in the primary school’s first team. She also excels in the classroom, where she applies her self-discipline and motivation. While hockey teaches her valuable lessons, it is also a source of fun! “It’s nice to play with others,” Ninina confirms.

For spontaneous and friendly Ninina, the hockey team is the perfect place. Because she loves people, she dreams of saving lives as a firefighter one day. Her passion is to serve others because she herself has been enriched by the care of people. Ninina tells how “Aunt Annie” takes her to hockey practiceevery Saturday and helps her find sponsors for her hockey tours. These sponsors ensure that Ninina can reach her full potential as a sportswoman.

As a member of Limpopo’s Sekhukhune hockey team, Ninina is currently looking forward to the regional matches she will play in Tzaneen. It is another step on the exciting road ahead! We can’t wait to see where the path will lead!
