The annual Van Wettens golf day was held on Friday 17 October at the Matumi Golf Course in Mbombela. The event brought together participants and sponsors from various sectors in aid of Abraham Kriel Children’s Home Nylstroom.

Abraham Kriel Children’s Home Nylstroom cares for 170 children from birth to 18 years of age. The organisation is largely dependent on donations to fund its daily operations and various programmes. Projects such as the golf day therefore form an important part of the home’s annual fundraising efforts.

According to Marlene de Villiers, Marketing Officer at the children’s home, the day ran smoothly. “This golf day was particularly special, from the excellent organisation and professional presentations to the warmth and friendliness of everyone present.” The funds raised will be used for the home’s operational costs, the children’s therapeutic needs and also to make the festive season extra special for them.

“We say thank you from the depths of our hearts to the entire Van Wettens team for your incredible dedication, hard work and big hearts. You not only played golf, you changed lives,” concludes de Villiers.
