Maryka Oosthuizen, a former resident of the orphanage, has been selected as a finalist for the Star Status Season 4 competition. As one of her projects she had to organize a fundraiser for a charity, and without a doubt chose her children’s home, the Abraham Kriel Children’s Home Nylstroom. She decided on a beauty pageant that was successfully held in Pretoria. A check of
R7 043,26 was handed over to us for which we are very grateful. It makes our hearts beat faster to see one of our former residents plow so much back into the orphanage.
