Abraham Kriel Children Excited to See the Sea!

The sun and sea await for the children of Abraham Kriel, all thanks to the kindness of our friends. This year, a generous benefactor, together with the Amy Bell Charity Foundation and PHASA, made our upcoming holiday possible. Fifty children will be travelling to Port Elizabeth in December, for a fun-filled eight day stay.

“It’s a very important experience, as these are children who do not have families to visit during the holiday season,” says Gerda van der Merwe, CEO of Abraham Kriel Children’s Home Nylstroom. “The opportunity to have a holiday is also an opportunity to experience love and care. It teaches them that they deserve to be given good experiences and to have time and money spent on them.”

The children’s experiences will include a visit to the waterpark and trampoline park, as well as a movie night at the cinema. There will also be lots of games played together. Let’s not forget the memories that will be made on the beach! “Swimming in the sea is a major attraction for the children,” says van der Merwe.

This is the second year in a row in which Abraham Kriel’s friends have made the holiday possible. While food, accommodation and entertainment have all been provided, we invite our friends to donate money for snacks on the road. Let’s join hand to make childhood memories that will replay for decades to come!
