Show on the Road brings a message of hope
The Show on the Road project is an initiative in which 17 talented children from Abraham Kriel are trained as part of a drama group. Under the guidance of the well-known actor Louis Minnaar, this production is being prepared for Child Protection Awareness Week (29 May to 5 June 2026). The theme is “Every Life Matters”.
“The children have already begun learning their lines and refining their acting skills with great enthusiasm,” says Charnel Oberholzer, project coordinator. “Under Louis’s guidance, the group’s confidence and abilities grow every day. His experience and success as an actor add great value to the project and help each child find their voice and portray their character in an authentic way.”
Show on the Road is more than just a stage production for our children. It is a platform for expression, awareness, and healing. The storyline reflects hope amid harsh realities and sheds light on the experiences of children who are often overlooked and feel invisible. “By taking this message to schools, we hope to spark important conversations about child protection and emotional wellbeing,” concludes Oberholzer.
Thank you for investing in our children’s future. Thanks to your support, lives are being changed and new stories of hope are being written every month.
