On 23 May 2026, Abraham Kriel Children’s Home Nylstroom hosted the first Loof Hom in die Bosveld Gospel Festival at Weesgerus Oord. The festival was held to raise funds for the 170 children in our care.

People from across Limpopo and the surrounding areas gathered for a day of gospel music, praise and fellowship. Jo Black, Franna Benade, Arnold de Wet, Onbeskaamd, Willie Joubert, Louis Loock and Bernice performed throughout the day, leading the audience in praise.

“We are deeply grateful to everyone who attended, as well as to the artists, sponsors, exhibitors and volunteers who helped make the day possible,” says Gerda van der Merwe, CEO of the children’s home. “Every ticket bought, every stall supported and every donation received contributes directly to the care, development and future of the children in our care.”

For our children, it was very special to see the community come together and show that they care. Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make this day such a success.
